Can a micro wedding work?

Can a micro wedding work? After Saturday, I would say absolutely yes! One of our amazing couples decided to press ahead with their wedding with only 30 guests. Now this wedding has been changed several times over the course of the last seven months. With the world we now live in there have been couples across the Uk that have had to postpone their weddings and amend their plans and there was also a point that we thought it wouldn’t go ahead at all. Our wonderful couple just wanted to get married, that was their priority. It was all about the marriage and not the party.

Of course guidelines have changed again and now the total number of guests at a wedding is only 15, but can a wedding with 15 people work? I think over the next six months we will see many couples just choosing to get married and then have the big party or celebration at a later date.

At Louise Perry weddings, we have planned several intimate weddings, both in London and also in Europe. So can a micro wedding work? There are many advantages of having a small wedding; you get to spend time with all of your guests, its tends to be very relaxed. You can spend money on great food and wine, beautiful flowers and really go to town on your surroundings.

For the bride, you can have a dress for the wedding and then another amazing dress for the party.

Do you really need a wedding planner to help with these micro weddings though? I don’t think it matters what size your wedding is, professional help is invaluable and in the times we currently find ourselves and having a wedding planner in London to navigate these testing times I think is essential.
