I took an interesting route to becoming a wedding planner…… I have been a professional singer all of my life, my background was musical theatre working in London’s West End for many years.
I then went onto become a very successful radio and TV presenter, working for London Tonight, BBC News 24, GMTV and BBC Radio 5 live, where I was the voice of their travel news for ten years. Louise Perry, 5 Live travel. It was through singing and supplying live music to weddings that I decided I would train to become a wedding planner in London.
I met my husband through singing as he is a professional musician and definitely the talented member of the family. We have two incredible daughters who are tenacious, funny, determined and unbelievably smart. They make me proud every day and are by far my greatest achievement.
Here are 5 facts you may or may not want to know about me
As the only child of a football-loving dad, I am a fanatical football fan. I have been a Liverpool supporter all my life, which is odd seen as I was born a mile away from the Molineux.
I am a gym bunny and fanatical about keeping fit. I work out pretty much every day.
I am obsessed with handbags and have several cupboards full of them.
My favourite ever meal is scampi and chips with mushy peas. I am from the Black Country. I love coffee and Champagne, just not together.
I cook a mean roast dinner, but other than that I am a lousy house wife. My husband will confirm that!
“I can’t thank you enough for making our day the most amazing day ever!! PJ couldn’t get over how smoothly the day run and said he would pay double what we paid as he was just so amazed!! You made sure everything was amazing, and that everyone was having the best time”!!
Mellissa and PJ
We can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us. You have worked so hard with us and really gone above and beyond to do everything you could to make the day what it was. The nicest bit of all for us was to have someone as lovely as you to share each stage of the planning with. You have a real gift Louise and it is so nice to have someone like you to share such a special time with. We are going to miss getting to spend time with you!
Hannah and Simon
Steve and I just wanted to say how fantastic everything was on the day and your presence was in immense help. My aunt was also saying how relaxed mymum was because you were there, which is really lovely to hear. We simply could not have done it without you, and will always remember how crucial you were to making our wedding the day of our dreams.
Sue and Steve
We had the most wonderful time and are still reeling from the wedding day, it really was better than we could have possibly hoped and you and Carly were absolute superstars. Your attention to every last detail and presence on the day was vital – Ed and I were so relaxed knowing that you were there and completely in control – thank you!!
Mr. and Mrs. Batchelor
“Louise was absolutely amazing, it was a big wedding over 2 days with a lot ofdifferent suppliers but everything went perfectly (or if there were any problemsI was completely unaware and totally chilled in the run up to the big day). She was lovely to work with and I would thoroughly recommend her to my friends and family. The planning process was really enjoyable and I will genuinely miss our meetings together!”
Rebecca & Nick
Thank you so much for everything you did yesterday. You ladies were rock stars and it wouldn’t have been the same without you. Big Love.”
Lyn & Dan
“When I met for lunch with Louise, she straight away eased my mind and assured me everything would now be taken care of. She had a genuine love of wedding planning and a real passion for making sure things were done properly. On the actual day, everything was as we had planned and it made the day amazing for us and our guests. Louise and her team are true professionals.”
Claudia & Jamie
All the guests commented on Louise….she had everything nailed and made everything work however she did it all in a cool relaxed manor from behind thescenes. We were probably a wedding planner nightmare (bah humbug groom and overly busy bride) neither of whom were really that excited about the wedding and we had a very bespoke vision yet she managed to make our vision come alive.”
Mr David Burns
I joined the Louise Perry Weddings team back in 2015 as an intern and just wouldn’t leave!
