An Intimate London Wedding
An intimate London wedding for just thirty guests was the choice of US based couple, Julia and Arjun. Julia approached us about 10 months prior to her London wedding as she needed help with absolutely everything and felt that having a London wedding planner on the ground was what she needed in order to plan this very beautiful elopement.
Bank holiday weekend was the date chosen for the wedding and Julia really wanted to have a church blessing followed by drinks and dinner in central London but somewhere with some outside space.
As London wedding planners, we have access to lots of venues across the capital, from large hotels, historical buildings and unusual spaces. Finding somewhere they could hire, that was intimate and had outside space was a little harder to do. We settled on The Ham Yard, part of the Firmdale Group with whom we have worked with many times before. The Ham Yard is perfectly located in central London and has the most gorgeous roof top terrace for a summer drinks reception.
Dinner took place downstairs in one of the gorgeous private rooms and with clever styling and flowers, we were able to create the perfect elopement setting for them.
An Intimate London Wedding gave Julia and Arjun the chance to spend their wedding budget in the right places. It allowed them to prioritise their budget to the areas that were important. Good food and wine, beautiful flowers and a real chance to spend time with each and every one of their guests.
That is the biggest advantage of planning an elopement, intimate or micro wedding, whatever you would like to call it. As a couple you can spend your money wisely and you will have the time to talk to each and every one of your guests. We have planned a lot of smaller weddings and are now seeing more and more couples moving in this direction with their wedding plans, whilst the future is still so unknown.
