I had been working with them both for about 10 months. Then in California and me in Essex. It makes no difference where our couples live. They chose the stunning Castle Coombe and invited their guests to experience a real English wedding. On the 4th of July of course.

A weekend that saw two very different days as we fused together cultures and religions for our couples. We battled the weather and I like to think we beat it!!!

It’s been quite a summer weather wise. Over the last 3 months we have battled with rain, winds, then sun, then rain again. There have been plan A,B,C and D for most of them and having to change plans last minute.
It’s the one thing we can’t plan. Sadly but you just have to go with it. Like L&M a wedding in the beautiful Coombs Castle on a day where the rain didn’t stop. Fortunately the smiles didn’t stop either.

Last month the team planned something a little different. An elopement. Just for 2. The wonderful Carl and Wendy’s travelled from the US to have the most amazing London wedding at the Tower of London no less. I didn’t even know that held weddings. Well they do.
A handful of fabulous suppliers came together to create 2 hours of the best that London can offer. A personal tour with their very own beefeater. A surprise musician for the groom singing his favourite song. A heartfelt and very person ceremony, champagne, canapés and flowers and all the emotion of this summer evening captured so beautifully.

This time last year we were creating a wonderful weekend for this amazing couple. R&K
This weekend we have created another weekend wedding fusing cultures, styles and traditions.
The heart of both have been two unbelievable couples. It strict me today as I rest (and watch the football) that the two weddings fell on identical weekends and both pushed the team to their limits but when you get so much back from the couples you work with it’s not hard work. It’s magic.

I have just returned from a short holiday with one

I have just returned from a short holiday with one of my daughters. It’s hard to take anytime off during wedding season but so important to take a step back and spend time with the most important people.
This year has been tough for me. Loosing my dad at the start of the season. This leaves me orphaned. A bit like a rudderless ship is the best description, especially being an only child. This is not being said for any sympathy but the gloss of Instagram hides such a lot.
Planning weddings does bring happiness and so delving into work has helped. A huge thank you to our lovely couples and my wonderful suppliers that have sent the kindest messages over the last couple of months.
Having recharged a bit I am slowing working my way through everything so bear with me. Much more to come from team LPW this year.

2 years ago today when we were surfacing from what was an incredibly difficult tome for the wedding industry. With travel restrictions still in place for many countries H& a wanted to create some intimacy in the marquee. We deliberately kept the design simple. Long banquet tables, soft warm colours and an elegant look to the marquee for their 46 guests.
