The Victoria & Albert Museum offers a range of breathtaking spaces that each bring something unique to your wedding day. From the grandeur of the Raphael Court to the intimate elegance of the Sculpture Galleries, this iconic venue gives you the flexibility to craft a celebration that’s as spectacular as it is unforgettable.

Raphael Court:
A Regal Ceremony Setting
The Raphael Court, with its sweeping arches and marble statues, is an extraordinary setting for a ceremony. Accommodating up to 400 guests, it is perfect for couples seeking a large, formal ceremony with a dramatic flair.
Imagine walking down the aisle with the stunning works of art surrounding you, setting the tone for a day of grandeur.
For couples who prefer a more intimate feel, the space can also be tailored to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with lighting and floral designs that complement the venue’s timeless beauty.
The John Madejski Garden:
A Serene Outdoor Setting
For those dreaming of an outdoor ceremony or drinks reception, the John Madejski Garden is a hidden gem in London.
With the beautiful V&A building as the backdrop, this outdoor space offers a serene and sophisticated setting for your guests to enjoy a drinks reception or ceremony. The water feature adds a tranquil vibe, while the greenery brings a fresh and natural feel to your day.
Whether you're saying your vows in the garden or simply enjoying a moment of celebration before heading back inside, this outdoor space offers the perfect balance of nature and luxury.
Sculpture Galleries:
An Intimate Reception Space
Alternatively, the Sculpture Galleries offer a more intimate reception setting, where the incredible sculptures of the V&A provide a stunning backdrop.
Guests can mingle in a space filled with art, while large windows open onto the John Madejski Gardens, allowing guests to spill outside when the weather permits.
For smaller weddings or more intimate dinners, the Sculpture Galleries offer the perfect balance of elegance and intimacy, creating a refined, artistic atmosphere for your celebration.
The Dome:
Majestic Reception & Party Space
After the ceremony, your guests will be invited to celebrate in one of the V&A’s magnificent reception spaces. If you're looking for a striking, jaw-dropping setting, the Dome is ideal.
With its glass Rotunda chandelier by Dale Chihuly and sweeping marble pillars, this space can host your wedding breakfast and evening party with style and elegance.
We work with the venue’s existing beauty, adding thoughtful lighting and décor to enhance the space, creating a welcoming environment where your guests can dance into the night.
The beauty of the V&A is that each space flows naturally into the next, allowing for a seamless transition from ceremony to reception, and finally to the evening celebration. From your grand entrance down the aisle in the Raphael Court to a drinks reception in the garden, and your wedding breakfast in the Dome, we ensure that the flow of your day is as smooth and magical as the venue itself.

WHY CHOOSE US AS YOUR V&A WEDDING PLANNER?
Planning a wedding at such an iconic venue requires precision and expertise—and that’s where we come in. As experienced London wedding planners, we understand the logistics and nuances of hosting a wedding at the V&A. The venue operates with a strict timeline, as it remains open to the public until 5.30 pm, meaning our team is highly skilled in managing the tight turnaround time for suppliers to transform the space.
The V&A also has a curated list of suppliers, carefully selected for their high standards, and our long-standing relationships with these trusted vendors ensure we can bring the best of the best to your wedding day. From florists to caterers, photographers, and entertainment, we’ve worked with them all to ensure that every element of your day is perfectly coordinated.
While the venue’s awe-inspiring spaces offer a magnificent backdrop, we also focus on the details that truly matter—like lighting, production, and creating an atmosphere that aligns with your vision. You have to place a big emphasis on the planning of the production element of the day as lighting for every area is required even in the summer months, as the dome where dinner and dancing is will be dark coming the evening. We guide you through every step of the planning process, ensuring that the guest experience and the overall atmosphere are just as memorable as the setting itself.
