Wedding Planner Review of the Year

2017 was quite frankly an unbelievable year. This is our wedding planner review of the Year. Looking back as I write this, it is quite amazing to think what we have achieved as a business and the wonderful couples we have had the joy of working with. We worked with 13 private clients and another 8 couples at Bloomsbury House, our beautiful London venue.

That’s a lot of amazing days we have had the pivilege of being part of. I spent much of the year travelling, venue viewing, at clients destination weddings and speaking at events across the globe. I think there was only one month that I didn’t get on a plane! We also had a very important wedding in September, my right hand woman also tied the night and became a bride and now wife. Seriously this year has blown my mind. We did things we haven’t done before, like hire only French speaking suppliers for our French wedding, that was interesting to say the least. We are always try to push ourselves and our boundaries as planners. We learn something new on every wedding. Things have gone wrong, thats being very honest with you. Of course you would never know and our couples would never know. Thats the sign of a good wedding planner, thinking on your feet and dealing with things. Then of course there have been those days that have been nothing short of perfect. It really has been amazing and I honestly struggle to put this wonderful job into words sometimes.

We have worked with new suppliers and we have made new contacts in the industry and pushed ourselves to be better with every wedding we plan. 2017 ended with us winning The Best Wedding Planner in the East of England at TWIA The second time we have won it and it is the only awards voted for by our couples. To say we are pretty proud of that is an understatement.

A huge thank you to all of our suppliers, many we use year in and year out because they are so good at what they do. To the phootgraphers whose work you see here, I love you all and I am so grateful for everything you do. At the end of the day though, its all about love, that is the thing that brings us all together,

that is the only thing that really matters. To quote Louis de Bernieres

“Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion, that is just being in love, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two”.
